Carl Chappell is an American-style, cowboy boot maker whose award-winning work in traditional and fancy leather designs with carved boot bottoms is known nationwide. Using old-world methods, Carl builds 'made-to-measure' fancy boots from customer foot measurements. Trail Town Custom Leather is a custom-fitted, less expensive, authentically-styled, line of boots for working cowboys, or, for folks who just want to look like one.

Leather Craft Seminars

The C.T. Chappell Boot Shop offers seminars on basic leather craft techniques, for hobby or pleasure, beginning with an introduction to American cowboy boot making. Each boot making seminar is limited to six people, who will each make one pair of cowboy boots. Participants who complete the twelve-day, two-week, boot making seminar will receive a certificate of completion. A set of more than nine DVDs on introductory boot making is included with paid registration, and a workbook is provided during class. Other leather craft instruction is offered by appointment, on a one-to-one basis. Call 940-995-2600, Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am-6pm, to join an upcoming seminar.

The next three seminars are scheduled for:
February 8-20, 2010
June 7-19, 2010
September 6-18, 2010
